The Venture Lab at the University of Cincinnati’s 1819 Innovation Hub is where entrepreneurs take their ideas from conception to launch. Our teams of mentors, entrepreneurs in residence and technical experts connect brilliant players across the StartupCincy ecosystem with resources for their ideas — or an idea for their resources.

Pre-Accelerator

The eight-week Venture Lab pre-accelerator program is designed to help answer key questions about your product’s market fit, potential customers and funding sources. Space is limited, but the pre-accelerator has no associated cost for individuals seeking startup support.

NEXT Accelerator

The Venture Lab NEXT Accelerator is a 12-week, cohort-based startup accelerator program. It curates peer-to-peer learning, offers direct funding to startups and prepares you to successfully enter the marketplace by hiring employees and engaging with either venture capitalists or angel investors.

Entrepreneurs in Residence

UC students and startup founders, even those with just rough concepts, can partner with dedicated entrepreneurs in residence (EIRs). Together, they'll establish regular check-ins and set concrete goals to help them develop and deliver inventions or new businesses to the market. EIRs bring extensive experience and a strong, long-term track record of success incubating and accelerating startups across various industries and markets.
