The University of Cincinnati's cutting-edge esports program is located on the first floor of the 1819 Innovation Hub. In the Esports Innovation Lab, you'll witness game design students developing the next bestselling game and leagues battling each other in games like Overwatch, Call of Duty, League of Legends and Valorant. Our Esports Innovation Lab is a dynamic space where students from all disciplines come together to learn, connect and compete.

Esports Innovation Lab

1819 learning lab

Gear up and step into UC's Esports Innovation Lab to advance your skills in high-performance gaming setups and stream live from our studio. All UC students are welcome to drop by and plug in on Thursday through Saturday evenings (5–10 p.m. Thursday, 5 p.m.–12 a.m. Friday and Saturday).

Our Esports Innovation Lab and competitive gaming facilities include:

  • 40 high-end gaming consoles
  • Community lounge
  • Livestream broadcast studio
  • Private competition room
  • Conference room meeting space

Lab Specifications

Located on the 1819 Innovation Hub's ground floor, the Esports Innovation Lab is outfitted with more than 40 high-end computers, a community lounge, broadcasting and production studios and a conference room.

We encourage users to bring their own peripherals to use in place of the lab's Lenovo Legion peripherals. Console players are also allowed to bring their own setups, games and devices.

Competitive Gaming

Our thriving esports community includes multiple competitive leagues and teams. Backed by our partnership with the Center for Student Involvement, we compete nationally at the highest levels as members of the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE), the Electronic Gaming Federation (EGF) and the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC).
